Eminem in June: Cosigns, Court Dates, and One Very Busy Goat

June was a loaded month in Eminem world. There was no new album, but the Shady universe stayed in the headlines anyway, from surprise GOAT shoutouts to a literal goat, a fresh flip of a classic, a Dr. Dre romance going public, and more legal trouble for Em's ex. Here is everything worth catching up on.

Benny Blanco puts Em in his GOAT conversation

Superproducer Benny Blanco sat down with Lil Dicky for an episode of Complex's GOAT Talk, the show where guests crown their greatest of all time picks. When the GOAT rapper card came up, Benny did not lock in just one name. He rattled off a short list, calling it "Lil Wayne, or maybe Eminem, or maybe André. Or 2Pac." Em made the cut, which tracks given how openly Benny has spoken about Eminem's influence on his own path in music.

Millie Bobby Brown's goat named Eminem is a menace

Here is the fun one. During a late June stop on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Millie Bobby Brown shared an update from her farm, where she keeps goats named after rappers. One of them is named Eminem, and apparently he has been busy. Brown explained that her goat Cardi B had given birth, and that the Eminem goat had fathered several babies with multiple mothers before getting neutered to calm things down on the farm. So yes, an Eminem was called a GOAT this month. This one just had four legs.

YG flips "Kill You" on his new album

YG reached back into The Marshall Mathers LP for his 2026 project The Gentlemen's Club. On the track "Kudos," he builds the hook around Eminem's "Kill You," turning one of Slim Shady's most recognizable moments into something more reflective than the original raging version. Eminem is listed among the song's credited writers alongside Dr. Dre and Mel-Man, who produced the 2000 cut.

For anyone who needs a refresher, here is the snarling 2000 original he flipped it from.

Bebe Rexha explains why only Em wanted "The Monster"

Bebe Rexha stopped by DJ Whoo Kid's podcast and got into the backstory of "The Monster," the chart topping smash she helped write. According to Bebe, the song kept getting passed on when she shopped it around, and label executives just did not get it. While writing it, she felt certain it would be a perfect Eminem record, and she was right. Em took it, Rihanna landed on the final hook, and it became a global hit. Bebe got her moment too, joining Eminem on stage to perform it at Coachella back in 2018.

Michelle Saniei confirms she is dating Dr. Dre

The Dr. Dre dating rumors are rumors no more. Michelle Saniei, known from Bravo's The Valley, confirmed in a new interview with People that she and the producer are together. She kept the details light, saying the two enjoy each other's company and are keeping things private, and noted they were introduced through a mutual friend. The talk had been swirling since the pair were photographed together after a dinner in Malibu.

Eve looks back on Dre pushing her in the studio

Staying in Dre's orbit, Eve revisited what it was like to work with him during a Rickey Smiley Morning Show conversation that made the rounds again this month. She described him as demanding behind the boards, recalling a day he refused to let her leave the studio until a song was finished. She said she was frustrated in the moment but grateful after, since that push helped shape some of her strongest work from the Scorpion era, an album marking its 25th anniversary this year.

Westside Boogie preps his album for Em's ears

Shady Records signee Westside Boogie says his next album is almost there. On the Beyond the Label series, the Compton rapper said the project is "basically done" and that the last step is wrapping up features before he plays it for, in his own words, "that white man in Michigan named Slim Shady" to get his feedback. The plan points him toward Detroit, with the final stamp of approval still to come from the boss.

The two already have history on wax. Back in 2024, Boogie and GRIP hopped on the Shady Edition of Em's "Fuel," so a future link is far from a stretch.

Kim Scott faces a bench warrant after missing court

The month's heaviest news involves Kim Scott, Eminem's ex. A judge issued a 10,000 dollar bench warrant after she failed to appear in a Michigan court on June 24. Scott has been working through more than one case this year. In May she was hit with a felony drunk driving charge, reported as her third such offense, after testing well over the legal limit, and she had separately entered a no contest plea in an earlier crash case. Once she missed the date, prosecutors also moved to have her bond forfeited. It caps off a rough stretch in the courts for her.
