Eminem and NERDS Clothing Are Launching an Original Arcade Game Called “Marshall's Massacre.” Here Is Everything Confirmed.

Variety broke it Thursday as an exclusive. No leaks, no cryptic Instagram teaser, just a full streetwear and gaming rollout landing at New York Comic Con next week.

Play Marshall's Massacre now

Eminem is partnering with streetwear and pop culture brand NERDS Clothing for a collaboration that debuts at New York Comic Con, which runs October 8 through 11 at the Javits Convention Center in Manhattan. Variety had the exclusive, confirming the collab will include a limited merchandise run, original 16 bit artwork of Eminem, a set of hand embellished arcade cabinets, and a playable original video game called "Marshall's Massacre." It is the kind of multi part rollout usually reserved for a sneaker brand or a film studio, not a rapper's merch table, and it is the first time NERDS has built an entire original game around a music artist rather than licensing an existing property.

What is actually at the booth

NERDS will set up at booth #3253 for the full run of the convention. Per Variety's reporting, the collection itself is small and intentionally limited: a skate deck, a long sleeve tee, and a lightweight bomber jacket, all built around the same 16 bit Eminem character NERDS created for the partnership. The brand has not said how many units it is bringing, only that supply is "extremely limited," so anyone planning to buy in person should expect lines and expect it to sell out.

The visual centerpiece is a row of hand embellished arcade cabinets, created in partnership with New York artist Danny Cortes, built specifically to house the new game on the show floor. NERDS CEO Eric Medina gave Variety the quote that frames the whole thing, pointing back to how small the brand started: "If you were to tell me that an overnight idea to create NERDS would turn into a collaboration with the biggest hip hop artist in the world years later, I wouldn't believe you."

The same post adds an option for fans who cannot get to the Javits Center: on October 14, another exclusive piece, a t-shirt packaged in a collectible gaming box, drops online only at shop.eminem.com.

The game: "Marshall's Massacre"

The game was built by developer Fan Arcade specifically for this partnership, and it is already live and playable at marshallsmassacre.com, not locked behind a convention badge. We loaded it directly: it is a straightforward browser arcade game with a score counter, three lives, and a public leaderboard that ranks players by their best score. Finishing a run lets you submit a username and email to claim a leaderboard spot, and the site's own privacy disclosure notes that registration emails are sent "by or on behalf of Universal Music Group," which confirms this is running through official channels on Eminem's side rather than a NERDS side project he simply lent his name to.

Beyond the mechanics we could verify by playing it, neither Variety's report nor the site itself spells out a plot or theme for "Marshall's Massacre" in detail. Treat any description of a storyline beyond "arcade score chaser with an Eminem skin" as unconfirmed until NERDS or Fan Arcade says more.

Why NERDS, specifically

NERDS Clothing launched in 2011 and has built its whole identity on exactly this kind of crossover: taking a brand or character people grew up on and giving it a streetwear and gaming treatment. Its prior collaborations include Street Fighter, Sonic the Hedgehog, and WWE. We've already covered how careful the internet has to be sourcing Street Fighter and Eminem's camp in the same sentence, since a 2Pac needle drop in a Street Fighter trailer got misread this September as the first taste of a rumored Eminem theme song that was never actually confirmed. This time there is no ambiguity: NERDS, Eminem and Universal Music Group are named participants, on the record, with a working product you can go play right now.

It also lands in the middle of an unusually active merch year for Eminem. The Eminem x Air Jordan 4 "Encore" was reportedly pulled from Jordan Brand's calendar just last week, with Nike never confirming a release in the first place, so a cleanly executed, fully confirmed drop like this one is a contrast worth noting. It also is not the first time Eminem's team has leaned into horror and arcade style branding for a capsule; last Halloween's Shady Massacre Capsule used the same kind of slasher inspired name and imagery, though that run had nothing to do with NERDS or a video game. The naming overlap between "Shady Massacre" and "Marshall's Massacre" looks like coincidence rather than a sequel, since nothing in Variety's report or on the game's site ties the two together.

"Without Me," the video where Eminem first turned himself into an exaggerated cartoon superhero. It is the closest thing in his own catalog to the 16 bit treatment NERDS just gave him.

What we could not verify

Eminem's own account is listed as a collaborator on the NERDS Instagram announcement, but we found no separate statement from him beyond that post, only the quote from NERDS' CEO. Pricing for the skate deck, tee and bomber has not been published anywhere we could find. Whether "Marshall's Massacre" stays live permanently after the convention ends on October 11, or whether it was built as a limited time NYCC promotion, is also not addressed in Variety's report.

What is confirmed: a real brand, a real game anyone can play today, a real quote from NERDS' CEO, and a real booth number for next week. For a rapper whose merch news this year has mostly been about things getting pulled or delayed, this is the rare case where the drop actually showed up on schedule.
