Street Fighter Opens Tomorrow. The Eminem, 2Pac and 50 Cent Theme Still Has No Title or Release Date

Paramount's Street Fighter hits theaters Friday, October 16, with 50 Cent as Balrog. In July, 50 said the film's theme was a new song with Eminem and unreleased 2Pac vocals, "coming out shortly." Almost 12 weeks later there is still no title, no release date and no official audio. Here is everything that has and has not happened, including 50's TODAY return on October 9.

Street Fighter Opens Tomorrow. The Eminem, 2Pac and 50 Cent Theme Still Has No Title or Release Date

50 Cent promised a theme song with Eminem and unreleased 2Pac vocals in July. The movie is here. The song is not, at least not yet.

Paramount's live-action Street Fighter opens in theaters on Friday, October 16. 50 Cent plays Balrog, the series' heavyweight boxer, and he has spent the last week promoting it. What he has not done is release the song that made Eminem fans care about this movie in the first place: the theme he said he recorded with Eminem and an unreleased 2Pac vocal.

As of this writing, that song has no official title, no release date and no official audio anywhere.

What 50 promised, and when

  • December 2025. 50 posted on Instagram that he was going to get Eminem on board to make music for Street Fighter. We wrote about that promise in June.
  • July 24, 2026. On TODAY with Jenna & Sheinelle, 50 said he had made something with Eminem and 2Pac. Per NME, he said the 2Pac vocal came through the estate, that "it's not AI," and that the song was written as the theme for the film. He said it would be "coming out shortly." Our full write-up of that appearance is here.
  • September 3, 2026. Men's Journal noted there was still no title and no release date six weeks later.
  • October 9, 2026. 50 went back on TODAY. Coverage of that appearance does not report him mentioning the song.

What he talked about instead on October 9

The TODAY segment runs about seven minutes and covers Balrog, his Sean Combs documentary and his views on marriage. The headlines came from the side topics:

  • Diddy. Asked whether he could ever make peace with Combs, 50 answered "No, not with him," according to Complex. He also called the Netflix series he executive produced, Sean Combs: The Reckoning, fair.
  • A hypothetical wedding. Per HotNewHipHop, he joked that Jay-Z would perform at his wedding, and Ye too, "if Kanye's not banned."

Nothing about the Eminem record was reported from that interview. That does not mean the song is dead. It means the promotion for the movie has moved on without it.

The other Street Fighter press this week

50 also did a long conversation with co-star Andrew Schulz for Interview Magazine, published the same day. Two Street Fighter details stood out. Schulz said the producers first went to Jay-Z for Balrog, which 50 refused to believe. And 50 described training twice a day before filming, boxing in the morning and lifting later, on a liquid diet. That interview also had 50 calling the 2010 Jay-Z and Eminem stadium shows a marketing move, which we broke down here. The theme song did not come up there either.

Paramount's latest Street Fighter trailer. The 2Pac song used in the trailers is "Ambitionz Az a Fighta," a 1995 recording, not the new theme. Here is how we know.

What about the soundtrack?

The film's soundtrack is on Milan Records. Its first release, on September 30, was a new version of "Guile's Theme" by the film's composers, Leo Birenberg and Zach Robinson, according to Film Music Reporter. We have not found the 50 Cent, Eminem and 2Pac song in any public soundtrack announcement we could read. That leaves three possibilities: it arrives as a standalone single around release, it plays in the film and comes out later, or it slips further. None of the people involved has said which.

Do not trust the YouTube uploads

Search for the song on YouTube and you will find several videos claiming to be it, with titles like "Street Fighter II [2026 Unreleased]" and "(Theme Song) [Unreleased]." They are posted by fan and aggregator channels, not by 50 Cent, Eminem, Shady, Interscope, the 2Pac estate or Paramount. Treat every one of them as fake until an official channel posts the song. If it is real, it will show up on 50's or Eminem's accounts, and on streaming services the same day.

What to watch for

  • Opening weekend. If the song is in the film, the first reports will come from people who see it on Friday.
  • Midnight Friday. New music goes live on streaming at midnight Eastern on Fridays, the same window "MADARA" used last week.
  • 50's Instagram. Every update on this project so far has come from 50 himself, first on Instagram and then on TODAY.

A real 2Pac, Eminem and 50 Cent record would be one of the biggest hip-hop releases of the year. The promise is still on the record. The song still is not.
