“In Your Head” Just Crossed 100 Million Spotify Streams. It's Eminem's 117th Song to Do It, Not the 118th.

Eminem.news flagged the Revival deep cut hitting nine figures on Spotify and called it his 118th song past 100 million. We ran our own count against Kworb's live catalog data: it's the 117th, and also the fourth Revival track to get there, right behind River, Walk on Water and Believe.

“In Your Head” Just Crossed 100 Million Spotify Streams. It's Eminem's 117th Song to Do It, Not the 118th.

First reported by eminem.news, who counted it as song number 118. We pulled Kworb's live Spotify totals ourselves and got 117, with "In Your Head" sitting right at the threshold.

"In Your Head," track 17 on 2017's Revival, crossed 100 million Spotify streams this week. As of the latest update, it sits at 100,022,734, just over the line. Eminem.news was first to flag the milestone on Wednesday, framing it as his 118th song to clear nine figures. We ran our own count against Kworb's full catalog list, which tracks Spotify's public per-song totals, and came up one short of that: 117, with "In Your Head" itself as the newest member.

"In Your Head," Revival, track 17. Currently sitting just past 100 million Spotify streams.

Where it actually ranks

Small gap, but worth being precise about, since round-number streaming posts travel fast and get repeated without a recount. Kworb's songs list for Eminem currently shows 117 tracks above the 100 million mark, from "Without Me" at the top (over 3.2 billion) down to "In Your Head" at the bottom, barely over the line at 100,022,734. That makes it the 117th song of his catalog, solo cuts and features both, to reach the milestone, not the 118th. The daily count moves fast enough that a site checking a day earlier or later could plausibly land on a different number, so this isn't an accusation of sloppiness, just a correction for the record.

On the album itself, "In Your Head" is also the fourth Revival track to cross 100 million, and currently the last one in line. The other three: "River," featuring Ed Sheeran, which is nowhere close to a deep cut and sits near 960 million; "Walk on Water," featuring Beyoncé, at roughly 186 million; and "Believe," just over 110 million. Nothing else from the album's 19 tracks has gotten there yet.

What the song actually is

"In Your Head" hooks its chorus from The Cranberries' 1994 single "Zombie," interpolating Dolores O'Riordan's melody over a Scram Jones beat. The timing has always been a strange footnote: Revival came out December 15, 2017, and O'Riordan died on January 15, 2018, almost exactly one month later. The song itself is one of the more direct pieces of self-accounting on an album built around it, Eminem using the Slim Shady persona as the "you" he's arguing with and apologizing around, including a pointed line aimed at how that persona's lyrics affected his daughter Hailie growing up.

It is not the song Revival is remembered for commercially. That's "River," which had the Ed Sheeran feature and the bigger rollout. But as a streaming data point, "In Your Head" quietly outlasting most of the album's other cuts says something about how a non-single can keep accumulating plays on a rapper's back catalog for the better part of a decade, long after the reviews and the rollout are forgotten.

The bigger picture

This milestone lands in the same stretch where Eminem's career total passed 66 billion Spotify streams, part of a run of round-number crossings that has become close to a monthly occurrence at his streaming volume. It also follows The Slim Shady LP hitting 2 billion streams the same week Hell: The Sequel hit 1 billion, and sits alongside "Forgot About Dre" clearing its own billion-stream mark earlier this year. None of these are singles-chart stories. They're closer to actuarial data on a catalog old enough that even its 17th track on a mixed-reception album is still finding new listeners nine years later.
