Logic Starts a Tour by Posting the Eminem Photo Off His Wall

A week out from his first run in years, Logic posted a corner of his house. The biggest frame on the wall is him and Eminem in a Honolulu green room in 2019, the day he heard the Homicide verse for the first time. The full story of how that day happened is better than the photo.

Logic Starts a Tour by Posting the Eminem Photo Off His Wall

Seven days before the first date, the thing he reached for was a picture from somebody else's stadium.

On Monday, September 8, 2026, Logic posted a photograph of a wall in his house to X. It is a gallery wall, lots of frames, and the one in sharp focus is large: him and Eminem, side by side. The caption is eleven words.

Logic: "that time I met @Eminem!! I'm on tour!!"

The post, cross-posted to Instagram the same day.

No essay, no anniversary, no reason given. The reason is the second half of the caption. The Endless Summer Tour Part II, his co-headline run with G-Eazy, opens September 15, 2026 at Starlight Theatre in Kansas City and runs 23 cities to Shoreline Amphitheatre on October 28, with Juicy J on select dates. It is their first co-headline together since 2016.

Some outlets have called this a world tour. It is a North American run.

Where the photo comes from

The picture is from February 15, 2019, at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, where Logic opened for Eminem. It is also the day he first heard the verse on "Homicide," and he has told that story once, properly, on DJ Whoo Kid's Whoo's House podcast in February 2023.

It starts with a phone call to his own label boss.

Logic: "I had that beat and then I started rapping. I just was like, man, this is good. And Paul was the president of Def Jam. So I was like, let's pull some strings. What's up, Paul? And I sent him the record and he got it to Em. I thought he was gonna be like, I'm okay. Because I'm also rapping on that. I'm rapping. And then I got a call that he likes the song. He's gonna do the song."

The Paul is Paul Rosenberg, who has managed Eminem since 1996 and was, from 2018 to 2020, chairman and CEO of Def Jam, which is to say Logic's label. One man sat on both sides of that request.

Logic: "A week later I get a call: yo, Em wants you to go open up for him in Hawaii at a stadium. So I go out there. I'm nervous. I'm so hyped. You don't understand, I used to put 'Forgot About Dre' from the radio on a cassette. My sister would put it back and forth so it would be all the way on side A and all the way on side B. This is the guy that's my first real memory of consuming hip hop, and it was him and Dre. And here I am today."

Then the green room, and the best part of the whole account.

Logic: "I walk in and I see Royce 5'9, who's the homie. And then The Alchemist was there. And then here comes Eminem with his beard, that's new at the time. And he was so cool. He's the biggest rap nerd. We were sitting and talking, and I was like, man, I'm sorry, am I being weird? He's like, no, you're not being weird. Then two minutes later I'll be like, am I being weird now? No, man. And the third time I was like, am I being weird? He's like, now you are being weird."

He had still not heard the verse. Eminem then produced a CD, put it in a player in the green room, and played it to him standing there.

What the song did

"Homicide" came out on May 3, 2019, the third single from Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. It debuted and peaked at number five on the Billboard Hot 100, number two on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, and became Logic's second top ten hit.

The video, with Chris D'Elia doing the outro impression that became its own news cycle.

Produced by Shroom and 6ix. Eminem's verse arrives at 1:50 and does not stop.

Why it is still the biggest frame

Logic retired in 2020, came back, and has put out more albums since the retirement than most rappers manage without one. He has a Hot 100 number one to his name in "1-800-273-8255." He does not need the Eminem photo to sell a Kansas City date.

He posted it anyway, with no context, the week the tour starts. That is not promotion. That is what a picture wall is for: the thing you look at on the way out the door.

Eminem has spent this month being talked about by other people, mostly in the past tense, mostly by people explaining why he does not play shows. Logic is doing the inverse. He is about to go and play thirty of them, and the picture he wanted up first is the one from the night he opened.
